Emergency Ride Home
RideFinders, A Division of GRTC Transit System,
makes ridesharing even easier by providing a safety net for commuters and
paying for you to get home if the unexpected happens while you’re at work.
You’re eligible for the Emergency Ride Home (ERH)
Program if you register with RideFinders and carpool, vanpool, bike or ride the
bus to work at least three days a week.
There is no cost to register
for the program! RideFinders offers four (4) free ERH rides per year. Program
usage is restricted to four (4) times per calendar year while funding is
available.

How Does the Program Work?
Call
RideFinders during operating hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30
p.m. except holidays and weekends
when you need an emergency ride home. RideFinders will call the provider to arrange
your ride. The ERH program is not
available for weekend usage. Requests
made after normal operating hours of 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. are on a
restricted basis and is subject to next day verification by RideFinders.
Approval is not guaranteed. All expenses
incurred by non-approved usage is the responsibility of the requestor.
On your first ERH trip, RideFinders will email or fax
you a voucher and survey. You are required to complete,
sign, and date the voucher. Present voucher to driver and follow the
instructions on the voucher.
After your trip, complete the survey.
Return the voucher
and
completed survey by mail or fax within 30 business days.
After receiving your completed documents,
RideFinders will send you a new ride voucher and survey in the mail.
Keep your voucher and survey at work.

Participants will need to sign the general release and waiver of liability
statement.
Annual registration is required.
The program runs from January 1 – December 31 each calendar year.
