How Does the Program Work?
Once you register for the Emergency Ride Home program, you will receive an ERH booklet that explains the program and an ERH card. Keep them at work. If you have an emergency at home, must unexpectedly work late, become ill, or your rideshare partner leaves early, call RideFinders at 804-643-RIDE during operating hours (8:30 am - 5:00pm.) and we’ll arrange a ride to get you home or to your car.
If you need an Emergency Ride Home after the RideFinders office has closed for the day, use your ERH card to call the service provider. The following morning, you must call RideFinders to report your usage for the services to be covered.
How Much Does It Cost?
Your first three rides each year are free (excluding gratuity, fuel and insurance charges) ! After your third use of the ERH program, each ride is $5.00 regardless of your home destination. RideFinders takes care of the entire balance of your fare, up to the maximum annual allowance of $250.00 (not including your co-payment).
