Local Reduced Fare Passes (Yellow Series)

GRTC Transit System offers a Reduced Fare program.   It provides a reduced fare of 75 cents, and also the new pass series detailed below, at all times for those customers who meet the following requirements:

  • Adults 65 years of age or older
  • Customers with certain disabilities
  • Minors aged 6 through 18

(Please note that reduced fare is not available on GRTC Express Routes or on the 19 Pemberton.)

One Child 5 years of age or younger rides for FREE when accompanied with a fare-paying passenger. An additional Child 5 years of age or younger can ride for a Reduced Fare with a Photo ID card with proof of age.

Reduced fare can be paid in cash or by using one of the below Local Reduced Fare Passes.

Reduced fare customers (Seniors and Minors) must show a photo ID card with proof of age to use this series of passes. Medicare customers continue to show a Medicare card and a government-issued photo ID card. A GRTC issued photo ID card will be accepted as proof of eligibility for reduced fare. Fare is fair!

Examples of acceptable forms of ID:

  • GRTC issued photo ID card
  • Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) photo ID card - also available for children.
  • Passport
  • School photo ID with birthdate 
  • Medicare card with a government-issued photo ID
