GRTC Service Adjustments - May 1, 2022

GRTC Service Adjustments
Due to ongoing COVID-19 impacts to labor, GRTC will adjust schedules in May 2022.

GRTC continues to hire new bus Operators and adjust service to meet the needs of our staff and riders during the COVID-19 pandemic. Schedules will be modified on Sunday, May 1, 2022. GRTC aims to restore service to pre-pandemic levels as staffing becomes available. Express Routes will continue pandemic reduced services updated in September 2021.

GRTC continues to offer on-demand service Monday thru Friday, 5:00 – 6:00 am and 11:00 pm – 2:00 am for customers impacted by early morning and late-night service shifts. Customers can request one ride per day from one GRTC bus stop to another. Read how to use this temporary, pilot service here.

The following routes will have schedule adjustments:

Express Routes continue the schedules implemented in September 2021.

As of Tuesday, April 19, masks are optional on board. GRTC encourages riders to wear a mask to their comfort level. Passengers with symptoms of illness are asked not to ride. Customers are still not permitted to have an extended ride (a ride that is more than one round trip); passengers must exit the bus when reaching the stop where they originally boarded.

Effective May 2, GRTC will implement dual-door boarding on all buses. Passengers may enter or exit through the front or rear door. The priority seating area at the front of the bus is reserved for passengers needing assistance, the ramp, or ADA seating. Please follow your Operator’s instructions to accommodate other passengers.

GRTC remains Zero Fare on bus and CARE services (excludes CARE On-Demand) until further notice. Daily disinfecting of the entire fleet continues, and on-board hand sanitizer stations are available. For the most complete and latest GRTC updates during the pandemic, please visit this page.
