Drug-Free Workplace Policy

GRTC’s employees are its most valuable resource.  It is GRTC’s objective to provide a healthy, satisfying work environment which provides personal opportunities for growth while meeting the following goals.   To that end, GRTC has adopted the following Drug-Free Workplace Policy statement.  

  • Assure that employees are not impaired in their ability to perform assigned duties in a safe, productive, and healthy manner.  
  • Prohibit employees from being under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or other unlawful intoxicants while on company property, while operating company vehicles, when on duty or during the employee’s work hours, or when performing company business.  
  • Prohibit the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of controlled substances.  
  • Require employees to notify GRTC within five calendar days if convicted of a criminal drug and/or alcohol violation.  
  • Encourage employees to seek professional assistance any time personal problems including alcohol or drug dependency adversely affect their ability to perform their job.

Employees are required to abide by the terms of this policy as a condition of their employment (which remains at-will).
