Lost & Found

Did you lose something on a GRTC Transit System but?Did you lose something on a GRTC bus?  If the lost item(s) have been located, they may be claimed as follows:

If you lose one of the following urgent items, please contact GRTC immediately, and we will make every effort to locate and recover quickly:

  • Medication
  • Currency (such as in a purse or wallet, credit/debit cards, cash)
  • Keys (including cards that function as keys, such as a VCU ID)

If you lose your cell phone, please contact GRTC Customer Service immediately, and the Operator will check the bus at the end-of-the-line for the phone. If it is found, the Operator will secure the phone to be turned into Lost & Found for pick-up by the next business day.

Please Note:
GRTC is not responsible for any personal items left on buses.  All items turned in to Lost & Found will be kept for a maximum of 10 days, except for perishable items.  Perishable items will be immediately discarded. Cell phones, bookbags and other personal items not listed as urgent above will be processed normally.
