NOTICE: Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K – Bus Route Updates

Due to Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K, several GRTC routes will experience temporary detours or delays on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 5:00am until approximately 3:30pm.

Routes 14, 19, 20, 50, 76, 77, 78, and the Pulse will all be affected by road closures and will be operating with detours. Please allow extra time for travel and plan ahead.

Below is a summary of the route changes:

Modified Routes:

Route 14:

  • Eastbound: Via Brook Rd. → Chamberlayne Pkwy. → Cross Leigh St. to Adams St. → Left on Broad St. → Resume regular route
  • Westbound: Via Broad St. → Right on Belvidere St. → Left on Leigh St. → Right on Lombardy St. → Resume regular route

Route 19 – West Broad Street (Eastbound only):
Via Broad St. → Right on Willow Lawn Dr. → Right on Markel St. → Left on Byrd Ave. → Left on Fitzhugh Ave. → Right on Willow Lawn Dr. → Service at bus shelter → Resume route

Route 20 – Orbital:

  • Southbound: Arthur Ashe Blvd. → Right on Broad St. → Left on Hamilton St. → Merge to I-195 S → Exit City Stadium/Rosewood Ave. → Left on McCloy St. → Resume route
  • Northbound: Robinson St. → Left on Grove Ave. → Right on Thompson St. → Merge to I-195 N → Exit Broad St. → Right on Roseneath Rd. → Left on Marshall St. → Left on Arthur Ashe Blvd. → Resume route

Route 50:

  • Eastbound: Broad St. → Left on Hermitage Rd. → Right on Leigh St. → Right on Adams St. → Left on Broad St. → Resume route
  • Westbound: Broad St. → Right on Belvidere St. → Left on Leigh St. → Left on Hermitage Rd. → Right on Broad St. → Resume route

Route 76 – Patterson:

  • Eastbound: Willow Lawn → Left on Broad St. → Left on Byrd Ave. → Left on Fitzhugh Ave. → Right on Willow Lawn Dr. → Right on Patterson Ave. → Left on Thompson St. → Merge to I-195 N → Exit Broad St. → Right on Roseneath Rd. → Left on Marshall St. → Right on Altamont Ave. → Left on Broad St. → Resume route
  • Westbound: Broad St. → Continue to Hamilton St. → Merge to I-195 S → Exit Grove Ave. → Hamilton St. → Left on Patterson Ave. → Resume route

Route 77 – Grove:

  • Westbound: Harrison St. → Left on Grove Ave. → Left on Lombardy St. → Right on Main St. → Resume route
  • Eastbound: From Harrison St. → Hold at Stop #1181 (Harrison & Main) → End of line

Route 78 – Cary/Colorado/Harrison:

  • Eastbound: Harrison St. → Right on Cary St. → Left on Belvidere St. → Right on Broad St. → Resume route
  • Westbound: Broad St. → Left on Belvidere St. → Right on Cumberland St. → Left on Harrison St. → Resume route

Pulse BRT:

  • Eastbound: Broad St. → Left on Hermitage Rd. → Right on Leigh St. → Right on Belvidere St. → Left on Broad St. → Resume route
  • Westbound: Broad St. → Right on Belvidere St. → Left on Leigh St. → Left on Hermitage Rd. → Right on Broad St. → Resume route

Routes with No Changes – Operating on Regular Schedule:

  • Route 1: Chamberlayne/Transfer Plaza, Reynolds/VA Center Commons, Hull/Midlothian
  • Route 2: North Ave./Forest Hill/Midlothian/Bells Rd.
  • Route 3: Highland/Jefferson Davis Hwy
  • Route 4: Montrose/Darbystown
  • Route 5: Cary/Main/Whitcomb
  • Route 7: Seven Pines
  • Route 12: 23rd/Fairfield
  • Routes 79, 86, 87, 88, 91: All on regular route
