Please visit our website for the most recent COVID-19 information.
GRTC Passenger Policies Are Updating Soon: GRTC updates passenger policies during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic effective August 8, 2021. All trips will be permitted, not just “essential” trips. All-door boarding for all passengers will be permitted on all vehicles. Front door boarding will be open for all, not just those needing Operator assistance. The separation between priority seating and general seating will be removed. Unaccompanied minors are permitted to ride, as well, not just when going to/from educational or work activities.
The Federal Mask Order remains in effect through September 13, 2021, which means all passengers must continue to properly wear face masks throughout their trip with GRTC, regardless of vaccination status. Passengers with symptoms of illness are asked not to ride.
Customers are still not allowed to have an extended ride (a ride that is more than one round trip); passengers must exit the bus when reaching the stop where they originally boarded. More info
Bus Stop Construction on Southside: GRTC is constructing new concrete landing pads at select bus stops on Southside to improve access for passengers according to the Americans with Disabilities Act. These landing pads provide a stable and smooth surface for passengers to board and alight, including using the bus ramp that can deploy levelly onto the pad. The first round of stops getting this important infrastructure improvement are posted here. There will be additional stops to receive these improvements in the Transit Accessibility Project in the future!
Service Updates Coming September 12: Service updates are scheduled to take effect Sunday, September 12, 2021. You can watch an overview of the changes here, and explore route change maps for Route 20, Route 77 wide view and Route 77 Fan view, plus see the combined 3B and 111 here. We will have new public timetables available online in early September. If you ride the 20 or 77, don’t be alarmed when your bus takes new routing! If you are used to riding the 111, you can board the 3B for a one-seat ride connecting Chesterfield and Richmond farther on Route 1!
Special Events Are Back! Many community special events are returning this Summer and Fall, and that means sometimes we have to detour. Please check for special event detours and service impacts here.
