GRTC Customer Service Call Center NEW Hours: GRTC continues to have service impacts when staff are off work for COVID-related reasons (vaccines, quarantine, or recovery). Recently, most of those service disruptions have been on weekend evenings. Therefore, GRTC is extending the Customer Service Call Center Hours on weekends until 9PM to ensure riders can get live help when there may be service delays.

New Shelters At Bus Stops: GRTC continues to install new shelters at bus stops throughout the network, requiring temporary stop closures during construction. This Spring, efforts are focused in Richmond’s East End communities, with funding support from Bon Secours. Where sidewalks are narrow, shelters have a back panel and a roof, but no sides, in order to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for sidewalk mobility space. Where sidewalks are wide, shelters have side and rear panels and a roof. You can see pictures of this project in progress on our Facebook page.

GRTC Transit On The GO! Mobile App Update: GRTC’s mobile app for bus tracking has an update available now, so be sure to update from the App Store! Updates are both cosmetic and functional, making it easier to see your bus location and bus stops, with improved live tracking on the map. (Many devices will update automatically, but if you don’t see the updated version, please go to the App Store and click on “update.” If the update still does not appear, you will need to delete the old GRTC app and install the new version from the App Store).
